Andrew Stewart - Managing Director

Our Team of highly skilled and experienced specialists is led by Andrew Stewart who commenced his career in the industry in 1986, working in his family's industry related business. Whilst studying Civil Engineering, he worked as a tower crane rigger, and later completed a degree in Construction Economics.

Andrew’s passion for providing innovative value-for-money outcomes is core to his professional and business success. His knowledge and ability to derive increased value from finite financial capacity, establish strategies and methodologies for optimised solutions has resulted in successful outcomes for his client over the past 30+ years.

The breadth of Andrew’s experience is unique. He has worked for a number of leading industry firms in Australia and also internationally. Throughout these engagements Andrew’s knowledge base has developed significantly. His innate ability to form and cultivate strong and lasting relationships with his co- workers, clients and all project team members, has provided an extensive portfolio of repeat clients and customers.

In 2004, Andrew moved to Doha, Qatar, to establish the local Pre-Contract / Cost Management business unit, for the internationally awarded KEO International Consultants. While in the Middle East, Andrew proudly worked with professionals from over 35 different nationalities. During this period Andrew was able to further develop his management and interpersonal skills together with in-depth knowledge of both the needs and drivers of clients and project teams.

Having successfully established the business unit in Qatar, Andrew returned to Australia, to provide expert professional services to a range of clients including leading constructions firms, ASX listed development companies, private clients, government agencies and various community based organizations (NGOs and NFPs).  Ultimately this led to the founding of ONIT Group Pty Ltd. 

Andrew has a highly experienced management advisory group supporting the both him and the business, comprising of financial experts, experienced business leaders, as well as social and ethics advisors. This group is tasked with providing direction to the business and mentoring guidance.
